GOHOP Fee Policy

Two Values

When it comes to our spiritual direction program, GOHOP has two important values that we try to keep in balance: fair pay and accessibility.

a) Fair Pay

We desire that our spiritual directors be properly and fairly remunerated for their services. Each GOHOP Spiritual Director has been specially trained to offer their ministry. Some have spent as many as four years in spiritual formation programs in accredited institutions. Each director receives semi-regular supervision and is actively pursuing personal and professional growth. For several directors, their work as a director is a means of financially supporting themselves. For this reason GOHOP requires that all their spiritual directors be paid for their time.

For these reasons, we have set our base rate for spiritual direction at $50 / 1-hour session.

b) Accessibility

We desire that spiritual direction should be made available to everyone regardless of one’s capacity to pay.

Recognizing that $50/ session is too high a price for some to afford, GOHOP has set up a subsidy to cover up to 50% of each 1-hour session. When you have come into agreement with your spiritual director regarding your fee, you may use one of the following discount codes at checkout for a reduced rate:

“DISCOUNT15” - $15 off a 1-hour session

“DISCOUNT25” - $25 off a 1-hour session

Please note: GOHOP charges an additional $7 to each transaction to help cover our administrative costs. This fee helps cover the time it takes to process payments and the cost of our online payment infrastructure.
